Are You Lala Superstitious?

There’s a certain nervous flutter that sneaks in before any event — whether it’s something tiny like a haircut or something big like moving, surgery, or starting a new chapter. And no matter how modern we are, some part of us whispers, “Pick a good day for this.”

In Korea, we call that special kind of day 손 없는 날 (Son-eom-neun-nal) — literally, “a day without mischievous spirits.” On these days, moving companies quietly bump up their prices because everyone — regardless of religion or belief — wants to move on a day when the universe won’t throw a temper tantrum. It’s not fear; it’s wisdom wrapped in tradition.

Think of it like checking the weather before a picnic. 🌤 You wouldn’t schedule an outdoor party in a thunderstorm, right? The Auspicious Day and Everyday Magic Calendar is your cosmic weather forecast, letting you plan with a wink, a nudge, and a little peace of mind. ✨

Whether you’ve experienced it yourself or watched someone close to you, you might know that feeling — when everything seems to unravel soon after a big move. I don’t want to go into painful details, because these memories still ache. But I know the weight of it. I lived it. I witnessed it.

When I was very young, growing up in Seoul, Korea, something unforgettable happened. One day, my mom suddenly couldn’t use one of her legs. Just like that — no accident, no warning. Out of worry, she went to a local fortune teller. The first thing the woman asked was, “Have you moved your plants recently?” My mom said yes. “Ah,” the fortune teller replied, “you moved them in the wrong direction on an inauspicious day. You upset the plants.”

She gave my mom instructions on how to fix it, and not long after, my mom could use her leg again — as if nothing had happened. That was my first brush with the idea of auspicious days. At that age, I didn’t understand lunar calendars or the quiet ways tradition weaves itself into everyday life. But that moment stuck with me.

You don’t have to be religious or believe blindly to appreciate it. Think of it as an extra layer of insurance for your decisions. 🌙
The Auspicious Day and Everyday Magic Calendar for 2026 is designed to be exactly that — a gentle guide that lets you align your timing with a little cosmic rhythm.

And here’s a bonus: I’ll be uploading the October 2025 dates as a special preview. In November and December, I’ll share more stories — more personal memories and cultural threads — about auspicious days. Each month will bring a new chapter, a new way to see how everyday life and tradition intertwine.
